Mawashi has extensive experience in Personal Protective Equipments, and has an expertise in Human Factors & Ergonomics. With our multidisciplinary team and our systemic approach of soldier equipments, we are able de develop innovative solutions. Our understanding of physiological and psychological reactions of the body help us designing a group of systems to enhance the security and the comfort of dismounted soldier.
Load Stabilization Harness
To improve the ergonomics and the retention system of the fragmentation Vest, we integrate a harness that balances and stabilizes the load on the body. The load balance and distribution will reduce the energy-loss. The harness also creates a ventilation spacing between the body and the ballsitic protection.
Ergonomic Ballistic Plates
We then improve the Ergonomics of the Front & Back Stand-Alone ballistic plates, NIJ level III or IV, with organic shapes that enhance the body coverage, without restraining the ease & range of motion.
For NIJ level III, we reduce the weight of these plates by using Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, or UHMWPE (ex. : Spectra®, Dyneema®) instead of ceramics. For NIJ level IV, we could use any desired materials (ex. Titanium, Boron Carbide, Silicon Carbide). The soft ballistic protection could also be manufactured using desired materials (ex. : Hybrid Multilayer of Kevlar® KM-2®, Vectran®, or other fibers)
Tactical Load Carriage
For Tactical Load Carriage, we integrate a modular attachment system similar to MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment). The dismounted soldier can then adapt his tactical load depending on the mission and his operational role.
