Flying Suit Trousers with Integrated Kneepads for Search and Rescue (SAR) Technicians
Client(s) :
Director, Soldier System Program Management (DSSPM) for the Department of National Defense of Canada

Search and rescue technicians have a duty to assist Canadians in distress across Canada. In areas as cold as -52ºC, they are used in operations to assist civil authorities in aerial evacuations or response to natural disasters on land and at sea.

Development of trousers with integral knee pads that protect against damage from foreign bodies during typical search and rescue technicians missions. The design of the final product maximizes the ease and range of motion of the users and the knee joint increases the protection of this joint against blunt impacts.
